Topic: "Interpersonal Violence among Older Adults: Examining Intersections of Gender and Age"
Christine A. Walsh is a professor Faculty of Social Work, University of Calgary. She is a prolific scholar with over 6 million in competitive research funding, one book, 14 book chapters and 130 peer-reviewed journal publications. In her community-based, action-oriented and arts-informed research she explores the lives of older adults, with a focus on interpersonal violence, gender-justice and allyship . In her research particularly interested in research that contributes to social inclusion and well-being among marginalized populations including Indigenous people, older adults and those experiencing poverty and homelessness.
